Mike J. Kegley

General Manager
Mike Kegley - General Manager

Co-owner of the BOLD Company, is a graduate of University Breckinridge School in Morehead, KY and the University of Kentucky, where he earned his Master’s degree.  He is a licensed real estate broker and a member of the Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors, as well as a past president of the Northern Kentucky and State of Kentucky Home Builders Association.  In addition, he a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Home Builders where he serves as a life director and is past Area 6 National Chairman.  Mike is the 2011 and 2006 HBA Builder of the Year and lives in Florence with his wife, Janet.

Mike’s responsibilities include sales and marketing.  He specializes in giving customers personalized service in selecting or creating plans with the features of their choice, while remaining on budget.  He also assists with the lot selection and the mortgage approval process.

Jim Kahmann

Jim Kahmann - Drafting Administrator

Co-owner of the BOLD Company, graduated from Covington Latin School and earned a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky.  He is a third-generation homebuilder, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather.  Jim lives in Florence with his wife, Kathy.  They are members of Saint Timothy’s Parish and Jim coaches baseball at Villa Madonna Academy.

Jim’s computer-aided drafting skills enable BOLD to create unique one-of-a-kind plans, in-house, turning the customer’s imagination into the blueprints of their dreams.  He also participates in job-site supervision and warranty service, including meeting with customers and maintaining contact with suppliers and sub-contractors.

Paul J. Kahmann, Jr.

Co-owner, is a graduate of Covington Catholic High School and the University of Kentucky.  He is a Professional Engineer, licensed in the state of Kentucky.  He has also been recognized by the National Association of Home Builders as a Certified Green Professional (CGP).  A member of the third-generation to serve this industry, Paul is a homebuilder like his father and grandfather before him.  He lives in Union with his wife, Beth.

Paul manages residential and commercial construction.  He maintains daily contact with the suppliers and craftsmen whose contribution to each project ensures that BOLD’s high standards are met at each stage of construction.  Paul also meets with customers on-site for periodic “walkthroughs” to keep customers up-to-date on the progress and the methods used throughout the process.  Finally, he is in charge of scheduling, and often performing warranty service for our completed jobs.

James J. Kegley

James Kegley - Estimating and Procurement Administrator

Co-owner, represents the fourth generation of homebuilders in his family.  He graduated from Villa Madonna Academy, and he finished Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Construction Management and a minor in Business from Bradley University.  James has earned designations by the National Association of Home Builders as a Certified Sales Professional (CSP), Residential Construction Superintendent (RCS), Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), Certified Green Professional (CGP), and Certified Graduate Builder (CGB).  He is also a licensed real estate agent and served as the 2014 President of the Home Builders Association of Northern Kentucky.  James is married to his wife Jennifer and lives in Burlington with their son Paul.  They attend Hopeful Lutheran Church.

James is in charge of estimating the costs of new homes and change orders.  He constantly researches products and prices to stay current on the best quality products at the lowest price.  In addition, he is a sales consultant and works with the design and construction teams to produce elegant homes of lasting value.  He is also trained to supervise construction in the field, and often can be found on the job-site, overseeing employees and subcontractors.

Janet Kegley

Design and Communications Administrator
Janet Kegley - Design and Communications Administrator

Co-owner and Is a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, has a bachelor’s degree from Brescia University and a masters degree from Eastern Kentucky University.  She introduces customers to our internet-based communication system, assists with the selection of colors and textures for their new project and helps customers through all stages of construction.  Janet has computer-aided drafting skills and keeps current with the latest trends in home design.  She is a member of St Paul’s Parish in Florence.
