Energy Efficiency Day

October 6th marks America’s very own Energy Efficiency Day. This one-day event is a “collaboration effort of dozens of energy efficiency advocacy groups around the United States.” The message of the day is straightforward. Basically, Its mission is to save money, cut pollution, and create jobs.

According to the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), not only does using energy wisely contribute to a better environment, but it saves lots of money as well. For instance, the ACEEE estimates that

Energy efficiency upgrades to affordable mutifamily homes could yield tens of millions of dollars in utility bill savings for households over the next 20 years.
